Digging Deeper - Spring 2020 Community Workday

Our mission focus, “Digging Deeper” was introduced in our casual service, The Well, in February of 2017.  Since its beginning, Digging Deeper has introduced our congregation to over 25 local social service agencies and organizations and the volunteer opportunities at each.  Twice a year our Community Workdays have sent an average of 70 folks out to “become the hands and feet of Jesus” in our community.  Sunday, March 15 we will have the following opportunities for you to serve:  Off-Campus:  Salvation Army Store (sort and shelving goods, light cleaning), DuRant Children’s Center (cleaning), and a bit of painting at the YMCA!  On-Campus:  we will make the ever-popular no-sew fleece blankets to send to either the Naomi Project or the Care House of the Pee Dee, and we will write cards and notes to medical professionals (seemed appropriate since this is cold & flu season).  You don’t have to be a “Well Head” to join us - just come to Davis around 9:30 to get instructions on your chosen project!
