CHILDREN
At Central United Methodist Church, we believe children are a vital part of our church family. Our Children’s Ministry is here to make sure every child is seen, loved, and included in the life of the congregation. Working closely with our pastors and program staff, we thoughtfully plan and care for our children—nurturing their faith, ensuring their safety, and walking with them as they grow in their journey of discipleship.
Children’s Sunday School
Sunday School meets each Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. This is a meaningful time when children can focus on the Bible, discover more about God’s Word, and lay the foundation of their Christian faith in a fun and loving environment.
Wednesday Night Activities
Children’s Wednesday nights include Bible Blast, Children’s Choirs, and Worship from 6:00-7:00 PM.
Bible Blast
During Bible Blast with Mrs. Catherine, children learn how to use their Bibles, spend time in devotion and prayer, play games, and participate in meaningful service and outreach projects. It’s a time for children to grow in faith and learn to be the hands and feet of Jesus from a young age. Bible Blast is located in the Children’s Assembly Room.
Children's Choirs
The mission of the Children’s Choirs program at Central is to actively involve our children in worship and to nurture their ability to lead through music. Below are details about the age level for each choir:
Cherub Choir: 4K, 5K, and 1st Grades
Junior Choir: 2nd - 6th Grades
Several times during the choir season (which runs September through Palm Sunday), our Children’s Choirs participate as worship leaders in both our traditional services and The Well.
