Scouting

Scouting builds strong character, citizenship, and values. It also teaches outdoor skills and gives experiences that last a lifetime.

Central's cub scouts are starting their first meetings for the new school year. Meeting  are on different Sunday afternoons in September based on grades 5K - 5th. We will be starting a new 5K Lion cub scout den and a new 1st grade Tiger cub scout den this year. Any 5K & 1st grade boys and their parents are invited to our first meeting on September 19, Sunday afternoon 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM at our 618 Plum Drive scout hut. Golf Tournaments

Central holds golf tournaments in the spring and fall of each year. These typically include lunch and a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. We play a captain's choice format, and teams are handicapped so that everyone has a chance at winning! Most of all, we look forward to beautiful days with great fellowship and fun.

Co-Ed & Men's Softball

Central offers both co-ed and men's softball teams. The men's team plays in the Freedom Florence softball league, and games usually begin the first of April each year. The co-ed team begins in late June and requires five women and five men. We are allowed four non-members to play on the co-ed team. Games are great times for fun and fellowship.

Basketball

Central offers basketball for men, youth, and children.

Men's basketball meets each Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in our Davis Christian Life Center. Members and guests are invited to play as they enjoy fellowship, fun, and great exercise. Each person is asked to bring a canned good with them as they are donated to the hungry each week.

Central has many teams participating in a church league for children and youth. The teams range from 8 & under to 17 & under, and include teams for boys and girls. These teams encourage children and youth to compete as Christians with good sportsmanship, stiff competition, advanced skills, and lots of fellowship!
