Recreation & Scouts
At Central, recreation is more than just play—it’s a ministry that builds community, character, and connection. From fast-paced pickleball and open gym basketball to the lifelong lessons of scouting, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and grow through. Whether you’re hitting the court or hiking a trail, you’ll find fun, fellowship, and faith woven into every experience.
Pickleball
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and our church offers a great opportunity to get involved! We play every Sunday from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Davis Christian Life Center, and all skill levels are welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a curious beginner, you’ll find a friendly and encouraging environment to learn the game, improve your skills, and enjoy healthy competition. Beyond the court, the group fosters fellowship and connection, making it a fun and meaningful way to stay active and build relationships within the church community. Come for the exercise, stay for the friendships, and be a part of this vibrant and growing ministry.
Basketball
Our church’s Basketball Ministry offers a fun and active way to build community, foster teamwork, and grow in faith through sports. Men from the church and local community gather for open gym every Monday night from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Davis Christian Life Center—no registration required.
Seasonal basketball opportunities are also available for children and youth ages 8–17, with co-ed teams that emphasize good sportsmanship, skill development, and Christian values. Whether you're playing or cheering from the sidelines, there’s a place for everyone!

Scouting
Discovery is at the heart of Scouting. Whether it’s a campout, derby car race, or hike on the trail, we believe every adventure helps us uncover a little more about ourselves. We build the foundations for humility and compassion—strengthening character through actions—to prepare youth for a lifetime of leadership.
