Live@Central Bible Study Featuring Dr. Brent Strawn
6:15 PM • Spears Fellowship Hall
As a part of the “Lies My Preach Taught Me” Bible study, this week’s Live@Central will feature Dr. Brent Strawn. In this series, Dr. Brent Strawn, Bishop Will Willimon, and Rev. Tom Pietila will address ten common “mistruths” about the Old Testament, from perceptions of God’s personality (the angry Old Testament God) to the relevance of the Old Testament for Christians. Discover why stories and laws written thousands of years ago, centuries before Christ, are enriching and indispensable for modern Christians. The first session will address, “Why Should We Read Someone Else’s’ Mail? Is the Old Testament Obsolete for the Church?” by Dr. Brent Stawn.
