Gabriel Smallwood is a native of South Carolina. He began his musical studies on the piano at the age of 3 and his concerto debut came in 2012 with the Florence Symphony Orchestra playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A Major, K. 488. Mr. Smallwood completed his Bachelor’s Degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig, Germany. Now completely devoted to early music, he studies harpsichord and organ at the Hochschuule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany.
The concert will feature Central’s new Acker harpsichord and will be a mixture of early Italian pieces from the 17th century and 18th century French repertoire. The concert is free and open to the public.
