Dr. Fran Coleman — Soprano in recital 

Dr. Fran Coleman, coloratura soprano holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory.

She has performed extensively including appearances with Palmetto Opera, Richmond Symphony, Virginia Chorale, Virginia Opera, Aurora Opera, Capitol Opera Raleigh, The Washington Chorus, the National Symphony Orchestra at The Kennedy Center, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Fran is Assistant Professor of Music Industry and Director of Voice/Choral Program at Francis Marion University.

The recital will include pieces by Felix Mendelssohn, Charles Villiers Stanford, Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, Harry T. Burleigh, Florence Price, and Dan Forrest. Fran will be accompanied by Central’s own Dr. Don Grice.
