We are delighted to invite you all to our first Church Family Ministry event since 2019, Central’s popular “Spirit of Central” celebration!
The festivities will begin at 5:30 PM with a delicious meal of BBQ chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, biscuits, coleslaw, fresh watermelon, and apple pie (and chicken tenders for the children). Meals will be $6 per adult and $3 per child and will be boxed in to-go containers for safety purposes. (Everyone who will be working with the food service that evening has been fully vaccinated.)
Following the meal there will be a fantastic patriotic program including the presentation of Quilts of Valor for several Central members who are Vietnam-era veterans. Patriotic music selections will be performed by Ashley Taylor and Dan Swanson. There will be activities for all age groups including a children’s decorated bike parade, so kids and parents, be thinking of creative ideas for your bike, scooter, wagon, or other vehicle! Central’s Youth will be helping with the event and will enjoy their own scavenger hunt at the end of the evening. Finally, if you would like, you may participate in “Operation Gratitude” by writing a letter or note or drawing a picture to send to a person in the Armed Services.
In order to keep everyone safe and to be able to continue hosting these events, we are asking everyone to register for the “Spirit of Central” by calling Shay Justice at the church office (843-662-3218). Tickets for the meal may be purchased by check or credit card this Sunday, on Realm at any time, or at the church office during regular office hours. We are encouraging everyone to pre-pay for the meal to decrease lines on the evening of the event. There is a limited amount of seating, so get your tickets soon! We hope you will join us!
