A Celebration of American Music

On Sunday, March 8 at 4:00 p.m., the Masterworks Children’s Choir and the Masterworks Choir will present “A Celebration of American Music.” This concert will highlight American choral music and traditional folk songs spanning over 200 years. Choral selections will include works by William Billings, regarded as the first American composer of choral works, and Aaron Copland. Guest musicians include Betsy Johnson on flute, Worth Lewallen on fiddle, Johnny Tanner on guitar, and Sharon Tanner on bass. This concert will certainly be an enjoyable way to celebrate our country’s musical heritage.
