SPRING 2020 BUILD-A-BED

Saturday, March 28, 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

BEDS Building, 2391 David McLeod Blvd. (next to T-Mobile)

Central member Art Justice tossed and turned in bed many nights wondering how many children did not have a comfortable place to lay their heads each evening.  Inspired after a visit to Harrison UMC in Pineville, NC, to learn about their BEDS Ministry, Justice, an attorney by profession began the BEDS ministry here at Central in 2015. Almost immediately, Justice was overwhelmed with donations of lumber from many of his clients  Since our first Build-A-Bed event in 2015, over 200 children in Florence School District One have received beds built by Central members and volunteers. 

We will be working in the area behind our BEDs building and ask that you park in the Ashley Home Store parking lot. If you have a handheld rotary sander, cordless drill, or a handheld router, please bring them.  And, if you’d like to come early and help set up, that will be appreciated!
