Live@Central - Our Sesquicentennial Story
Wednesday, January 8 • Spears Fellowship Hall
Central was begun as a “planted church” and was called “Methodist Episcopal Church South, Florence.” The process of archiving the history of CUMC began 10 years ago and continues today through the efforts of the archive volunteers in the Schofield Library. Their work will be previewed on January 8 at 6:15 p.m. in Spears Fellowship Hall. Join us that evening as we experience the early years of Central United Methodist Church (1866 through 1916) through recordings, photographs, and other physical evidence. You’ll go home with your own little seed pack of history to get you started on the celebration of Central’s Sesquicentennial!
