Rev. Meg Bryce Jiunnies
Minister of Faith Formation and Discipleship
Meg grew up attending Central, where she has wonderful memories of life in the church community. She joined Central's staff in 1998 and served for ten years as the co-director (with her husband, Jay) of Youth Ministries. She then served for several years as the Director of Spiritual Gifts and Congregational Care. In 2013, Meg began her journey to ordained ministry, completing a Masters in Practical Theology with an emphasis on evangelism from Pfeiffer University, with her seminary coursework from Wesley Theological Seminary.
In 2016, Meg transitioned to her current position as the Minister of Faith Formation and Discipleship. Commissioned as a provisional deacon in 2017, Meg will continue her ordination journey. She holds a degree in Psychology from Clemson University and para-professional certification in Christian Education from the United Methodist Church. Meg is a Stephen Minister and Leader, and member of Christians Engaged in Faith Formation. She serves as a member of the McLeod Clinical Pastoral Education Professional Advisory Group, a board member of The CARE House of the Pee Dee, and is a past member of the Standing Rules Committee for the South Carolina Annual Conference. Meg is member of Theta Alpha Kappa, the national honor society for religious studies.
Meg and Jay are the parents of Meghan, who is married to William and is a Montessori teacher, and Tyner, a student at West Florence High School. All of them except William are enthusiastic Clemson fans – but they still love him!
Meg is passionate about helping every person find their place in ministry. If you are interested in exploring lay or ordained ministry, please come visit her for a conversation. Caring for the church family and providing ways for every person to participate in ministry are very important to her.
