The Congregational Care Ministry Team strives to provide opportunities for spiritual and community growth, with an emphasis on caring for people during emotionally trying times. This ministry team provides ongoing visits to the home-bound, respite care transportation ministry, and Stephen Ministers for confidential, one-on-one Christian care.

Support groups, special worship services, and workshops are offered for the benefit of our congregation as well as members of the community.

Prayer Ministry

Central has an active prayer group that prays for others. The group prays individually and meets to pray communally before our Prayer and Communion Service on Thursdays at 12:00 noon.

Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry program is a complete system of training and organizing lay persons for caring ministry in and around their congregations.

In Stephen Ministry congregations, lay caregivers (called Stephen Ministers) provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. This is a wonderful service to God, Central, and our community.

Care Giver Support Group

This is a group for people providing care for family members that cannot care for themselves. The group will offer workshops periodically to provide tips and resources.

Grief Support

Periodically Central provides a class and support group for those who are grieving.
