Rev. Tom Pietila
Associate Pastor of Congregational Care
Tom is a native of Ohio and has been a member of the South Carolina Annual Conference since 1976. He is a graduate of Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio (1974), where he met his wife of 42 years, Lindy. Tom received his M.Div. from Duke Divinity School (1977). He has served churches in Cheraw, Greenville, Myrtle Beach and Rock Hill before retiring at Central in 2010. He is currently Director of Pastoral Services for McLeod Health. Tom and Lindy have two daughters, Rebecca Taylor and Caroline Pietila, and three grandsons, Thomas Pietila, Christopher Taylor and Caden Taylor. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Pilgrims of Ibillin, a national non-profit working with Palestinian and Christian peace-making projects in Israel and Palestine.
