Long-Term Bible Studies

Long-term, small group Bible studies are for everyone, and, while it is a commitment of time, there is nothing you will do in the next year that will help you to fully understand God’s expectations and wishes for you than to spend 24-34 weeks in the study of God’s Word and fellowship with your church family.

Disciple I

Disciple 1 is a 30-plus week study of the Bible based on a time-tested curriculum that's brought the serious study of God's word to millions around the world. Using weekly assignments, students will read approximately 70 percent of the Bible during the course. The readings are brought to life each week through stimulating group discussion with other seekers, short videos featuring renown theologians, and contextual lectures on history, geography, archaeology, philosophy, art, textual criticism and much more. Instructor Tucker Mitchell has led Sunday School classes and Bible studies for more than 30 years. This will be his seventh Disciple 1 class. This class requires a significant commitment, but the payoff is far greater. Students gain an appreciation for the richness and continuity of the Bible, and, through shared experience with fellow strivers, develop friendships that last a lifetime.

Fast Track Disciple Ii: Into the Word, Into the world

Disciple Fast Track, an adaptation of the original Disciple Bible Study, provides a viable option for busy people seeking comprehensive engagement over time with the entire biblical text. Fast Track groups meet for a total of 24 weeks studying readings from Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts. This study explores how the experiences of life are opportunities for witness and service. Participants read 3-5 chapters of the Bible daily in preparation for the weekly meetings, which last approximately 75 minutes. A brief, illustrated review video enables participants to recall important facts and ideas; lively and engaging video presenters then offer insights into the current week’s session.
