Golf Tournaments

Each spring and fall, Central church has a golf tournament for members and friends. Anyone may sign up: as an individual to be placed on a team or you may call in pairing requests. There will be handicaps, so please provide us with that information. If you are interested in participating or for further information, please contact Linda Segars (662-3218).

Men's Church Softball League

April means softball time! This year, our men's team will play in the Ebenezer Park Church League. All members ages 16 and older are eligible to participate. We can also have four non-members on the team. Games are played on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Make up games will be on Thursdays when necessary. Watch the bulletin calendar for our scheduled games. Please contact Linda Segars (662-3218) in you are interested in this fellowship opportunity.

Co-Ed Church Softball League

Since 2005, Central has won the Ebenezer Park Church League co-ed softball tournament championship! Each team requires five women and five men. The league seasons begin in late June. If you are interested in playing for Central, please contact Linda Segars (662-3218). We are allowed four non-members on the team.

Men's Basketball

Each Monday evening, the gym is open for any men who want to come play basketball. From 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., guys ages 40 and over play. The youngs guns have their opportunity from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Come enjoy fellowship, fun, and great exercise!

Youth Church Basketball League

Central had nine teams participating in the church league this year. The 12 & under team and the 14 & under team both were tournament champs! We had four 8 & under and two 10 & under teams. Our 17 & under team was young but talented! We look forward to next year's competition. Join the fun as we learn to compete as Christians with good sportsmanship, stiff competition, advanced skills, and lots of fellowship! If you are interested in participating or for further information, please contact Linda Segars (662-3218).

Polar Bear 5K Run/Walk

On the fourth Saturday in January, Central hosts a 5K run/walk called the “Polar Bear Run.” It is held on the beautiful grounds of Camp Sexton. All proceeds from the event benefit CHOiCES, a non-profit charter school originated as a school for students with behavior problems or learning difficulties that traditional schools could not address. The cost is only $20 per person, which includes a long-sleeved t-shirt, entry fee, and a delicious chili lunch after the race. Awards are presented to the top male, female, master’s male and female and Clydesdale (200+lbs) in different age groups. To learn more about this event, watch the church bulletin in January or contact Linda Segars (662-3218). You may also download the brochure and registration form online.
