Central
offers a variety of experiences to promote growth in the Christian
faith for youth of all ages and stages. In addition to Sunday
School, UMYF and the Confirmation program, a student-led Bible
study is offered, spiritual life retreats, and mission opportunities
are provided. This variety of activities makes it possible for
each youth to find a comfortable arena in which to explore their
faith beliefs. The program will continue to expand and find new
ways to reach as many youth as possible.
The
Youth Sunday Service in February also provides a time for youth
to lead an entire Sunday Service. Youth coordinate and lead two
services for the entire congregation. The services are followed
by a Spaghetti Dinner that proceeds go to the SC Youth Service
Fund and a Bake Sale with proceeds going to Central's Youth Service
Fund.
