you like group discussion, you'll like this class. Lifeways
consists primarily of Young to Middle Adults in their 30's to
late 40's who value their freedom of speech! Their goal is to
make Sunday School fun and interesting while engaging in meaningful
discussions of specific Bible topics and their life applications.
The book of study is called Troublesome Bible Passages, Vol
II, by Randy Cross. Christian
Discussion
- Sanctuary Bldg Room 293
President:
Bob Wells
Primarily
in our 40's & 50's, we are a spicy broth of lessons, current
events, contemporary culture, fellowship, missions and humor,
with a stock always Scriptural. This class is taught by Jerry
Peace. We usually take more than one week to complete each lesson
- so we are never on the schedule the lesson series dictates.
Often we do a series from a previous year in the Adult Bible
Studies, or we do some other lesson series. Discussion is encouraged
but no one gets singled out.
New
Horizons - Sanctuary Bldg Room 292
President:

Are
your arms stiff from having to hold your Bible at arm's length
to see the words??? Are you old enough to know better but too
young to resist??? Then the New Horizons Sunday School Class
may be for you!!! We are a group of mid 30's to 40's who enjoy
the casual, laid back atmosphere our class affords. Our teachers
rotate; these are members of our class who have volunteered
and teach a variety of topics. In addition to Biblical lessons,
we are very family oriented and discuss related subjects as
well as current events and life based issues. This is a hands-on
group that claims activities as the annual Live Nativity as
well as 'adopting' a welfare mom and her family under the "Putting
Families First" sponsored by former Gov. Beasley. Please join
us!!!
Christian
Family - Sanctuary Bldg Room 387

We
are a loving, caring class in the 60's-80's age range. We participate
in all church programs and believe we are "living our Christianity".
We have teachers that rotate monthly and use the United Methodist
Adult Bible Studies series. We have semiannual class parties
as well as a Christmas social and a special Easter program.
We are a large class of both couples and singles. Please join
us!
Spiritual
Guidance - Education Bldg Room 172
Presidents:
Gloria & Barry Coldren
Mixed
age group, both couples and singles, who enjoy an informal atmosphere
of worship. This group enjoys singing, particularly contemporary
songs. Emphasis is on Bible study, usually from the Methodist
Adult Bible Series, but Bible subjects are flexible according
to class desires. The group is small but eager to grow. Christian
fellowship is important, and 5th Sunday "eat-outs" are enjoyed
in addition to a Christmas social. Strong focus is on mutual
caring and sharing among members including prayer support. We
are involved in active participation and support of church projects.
We are also interested in evangelistic concerns such as our
monthly donation to a missionary offspring of a class member.

Wesley
United Fellowship - Education Bldg 165
President:

This
Sunday School Class was originally a class for couples. In more
recent years, the class has been for older adults-singles and
couples. Presently, there is a goal to establish a class of
intergenerational members. Couples and singles of all ages would
be very welcome. The class is small in size but we hope to grow.
Please visit us! The International Sunday School materials are
used with some discussion included. Music, outreach projects
and socials are important to Wesley Fellowship members.

WINGS
is a celebration of Women In New Growing Spirit. We are an up
and coming class for women who enjoy the fellowship and time
together. Age is not an issue, everyone has something to offer.
We are currently in a Bible study on Angels. We have plans to
do tape series, attend workshops, and read books appropriate
for Bible study. Our class is also participating in Operation
Christmas Child. Please make plans to join us. Our door is always
open.
