Holy Week Services
Maundy Thursday Service, April 13
7:00 pm in the Sanctuary, Led by Rev. Will Malambri
A theme throughout John is for whom are we looking. Sometimes it is a quest born of interest and hope and sometimes it is a sinister plot to eliminate a different way from intruding upon us. In this case, the authorities are seeking a scapegoat (which Jesus will soon become) and the one who is challenging their system. They are not looking for a savior and, yet, some of the guards kneel before him. On this holy night, which prefigures tomorrow's cross, for who and for what are we looking?
Stations of the Cross, April 14
Join us as we experience the compassion and sorrow during the Stations of the Cross. We will journey to different stations around the church and downtown area.
Good Friday Service, April 14
12:00 pm in the Sanctuary, Led by Dr. Joe Baroody
Dr. Joe Baroody will lead our Good Friday service focusing on scripture reading from Matthew 25:31-46 in his sermon, "Resurrection at Applebee's." Dr. Baroody has served as chaplain, minister, and counselor at hospitals and medical centers in South Carolina over the course of his 35-year professional career. He is the author of Chronicles of an Irreverent Reverend: What Goes Wrong Can Make You Better, and operates Baroody Pastoral Counseling, a non-profit pastoral counseling ministry in Florence, since 2001.
Easter Sunday Celebration, April 16
