Reverend Kathy Campbell
Associate Pastor of Congregational Care
Rev. Kathy Campbell grew up in Pennsylvania, and moved to South Carolina with her husband Bernie in 1989. After a variety of jobs in office management and commercial interior design, she felt a call to the ministry. She graduated from Francis Marion University in 1996 and received her MDiv. degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC in 2001. Kathy is a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Her first call was as Associate Pastor of Saint Luke Lutheran Church in Florence. She completed a year's residency in Clinical Pastor Education at Palmetto Health in Columbia, and afterwards served as a chaplain for McLeod Hospice for ten years. She is also a graduate of the Sursum Corda Spiritual Director Training Program in Charleston.
Having lived in Florence for over 27 years, Kathy and Bernie consider this home. They enjoy theater, especially Shakespeare, and visit Shakespeare festivals when they can find the time.
