Getting Involved
• How to Become a Member

If you are interested in joining Central UMC, please contact one of the pastors, Rev. Tom Pietila (Senior Pastor) or Rev. Will Malambri (Pastor). There are two ways persons normally join a United Methodist Church. If you have never been baptized, or had membership in a church, you would need to be baptized and join on "Profession of Faith." (If you have been baptized, but never joined a church, you would still join by "Profession of Faith." Please note that we do not practice re-baptism). Second, if you have membership in another United Methodist Church, or a church from a different denomination, you would join by "Transfer of Membership." Our policy is to contact the church where your membership currently resides and ask them to transfer it to us.

We encourage, but do not require, a brief service of welcoming as a means to introduce you to the congregation, to remind them of their commitment to God and you, and to give you the opportunity to profess your commitment to God and Central UMC.

We also encourage participation in our Central Orientation Class, which serves to connect you more deeply with Central's ministries, the United Methodist Church, and your own gifts for Christian service.
