Central United Methodist Church is blessed to have a full Five Octave set of Schulmerich Handbells and a three octave set of Schulmerich Melody Chimes. The Memorial Handbell choir is for advanced ringers. The bell choir attempts to perform about once a month and for special services for Advent/Christmas (December), Lent, Easter and Mother's Day. These choirs also perform away, in festivals, or by invitation.
The Director of the Handbell program is Howard Starks, a renowned music composer/arranger of Handbell Music and an accredited AGEHR festival director and workshop clinician.
